Tobi.com Review

I’ve been hearing a lot of things about Tobi.com on the blogger and YouTuber scene. Everybody seems to really love this website. I ordered from there twice and I really did not like the quality of the clothing (the accessories were really nice though) but since then, with everybody saying good things about the website, I decided to try it out one more time before deciding whether or not I like it. I waited for a 50% off sale (since things are not cheap on the website) and I loved a lot of the things I saw on the website. I had to make a choice and go with things I really wanted for a long time. Since I’m from Canada, I also chose to order express shipping (since it can take up to 3-4 weeks for normal shipping). Gladly, it arrived within a week and I had no tax to pay (which I was surprised). I have to say, all the items I received were deceiving…The quality is really cheap and it often does not look like what it appears on the model. I ordered 4 things and here is my honest opinion on all of them.

13$ reduced to 7$

Double Chain Curb Necklace in Gold

The weight of the necklace is not sufficient, it feels cheap-y and the hook was not placed correctly. I had to use my clips to make it work (really, a new item that is not working?)

Ordered size Small

Manny Flowers Kimono

58$ reduced to 29$
This was on my wish list (here) and I’m pretty disappointed, I ordered it in Small because I know Kimonos are pretty huge and it looks a little bit weird. For the original price (58$), this item is definitely not worth it. I’m not that shocked because kimonos are a pretty hard thing to order without trying (maybe not my best decision, right?)

Ordered size Medium

Sideswept Cami in White

28$ reduced to 19$ (Is that 50% guys?!?)
This item is probably the most awkward. The way it fits is really weird, when the straps are placed correctly, you can see my entire bra, and when the fold is in the right place, the straps look awkward. I really don’t know how I can pull this off.

Ordered size Medium

Slashed Mixed Knit Sweater in Gray

56$ reduced to 28$
This is probably the item that I like the most but I would NEVER pay 56$ for it, the material is really cheap, cheaper than Forever 21. I do not understand their pricing…The problem with this item (that I did not see on the pictures) is the sleeves. They are SO long. I’m 5’6 and they are way too long for me. Also, they are really large on the hands and it looks weird and makes it difficult to roll. I will still wear it but not my favorite sweater.

Honestly, I am not trying to bash this company, their styles are really cute, I always check their new arrivals when I’m bored. But the quality compared to the price is really not reasonable. I cannot understand why people love this website. If you have any good experience with them (or a blog post) please leave it in the comments, I would love to change my mind on this company!

Later, Maria
