Trendy things I can't understand
Hey guys, here is a new article that is a little bit different. As you may know, most of the blogosphere loves the same kind of clothing and stuff. When an item is happening among the youtube and blog community, you can definitely see it on everyone. Maybe it is me, but i find some of these items to be either really ugly, strange or pretty normal. These are the items that I can't understand what the buzz is about... hope you enjoy, and please, let me know your honest opinion on these trends :)
GALAXY PRINT
Maybe this one is a little bit old, but still, why is it that women would want to show the universe on their clothes? Sometimes, a little bit of galaxy print, done tastefully, does not bother me, but when it's on dresses or leggings, I cannot take it...
CREEPERS
Why? Please tell me why! I know they're trendy but i cannot get pass the fact that these look like grandpa's ugliest shoes... The various color combination just adds ugliness, in my opinion....
MULTICOLOR OMBRÉ HAIR
I really use to like ombré hair, from light brown to blond for instance, but since purple-blue-pink-or whatever color have been added to the mix, i can't understand why. Pastel or bright colored hair use to be so tacky, is it different since singers are wearing it?
THE FAMOUS ZARA SKORT
Don't get me wrong, i don't dislike this piece ( i would not buy it though) but what is it about this skort that seems to obssess all the bloggers? It's pretty cute but is it REALLY amazing?
CUT OUT BOOT
Why would you wear a boot that is cut out? A summer boot, some might say, well, why don't we continue to wear sandals and keep boots for fall? These are even chunkier than chunky.
JC LITAS
This is probably the item i hate most. I think the litas are too high, too massive and extremely unflattering. And then, everyone got them and they made replicas everywhere and in every color and print..................................................................well.
ROMWE LEGGINGS
Floral printed leggings? LOVE. Tribal print leggings? Cute. Batman printed leggings? WTF? Romwe has been famous for their unconventionnal leggings...but in my opinion, these should be worn as pajamas ONLY. Fire on the legs, comic books, jungle scenery, these are really too weird for anyone to wear, in my opinion. (the bottom right one is pretty cute though...)

Tobi.com Review
I’ve been hearing a lot of things about Tobi.com on the blogger and YouTuber scene. Everybody seems to really love this website. I ordered from there twice and I really did not like the quality of the clothing (the accessories were really nice though) but since then, with everybody saying good things about the website, I decided to try it out one more time before deciding whether or not I like it. I waited for a 50% off sale (since things are not cheap on the website) and I loved a lot of the things I saw on the website. I had to make a choice and go with things I really wanted for a long time. Since I’m from Canada, I also chose to order express shipping (since it can take up to 3-4 weeks for normal shipping). Gladly, it arrived within a week and I had no tax to pay (which I was surprised). I have to say, all the items I received were deceiving…The quality is really cheap and it often does not look like what it appears on the model. I ordered 4 things and here is my honest opinion on all of them.
The weight of the necklace is not sufficient, it feels cheap-y and the hook was not placed correctly. I had to use my clips to make it work (really, a new item that is not working?)
58$ reduced to 29$
This was on my wish list (here) and I’m pretty disappointed, I ordered it in Small because I know Kimonos are pretty huge and it looks a little bit weird. For the original price (58$), this item is definitely not worth it. I’m not that shocked because kimonos are a pretty hard thing to order without trying (maybe not my best decision, right?)
28$ reduced to 19$ (Is that 50% guys?!?)
This item is probably the most awkward. The way it fits is really weird, when the straps are placed correctly, you can see my entire bra, and when the fold is in the right place, the straps look awkward. I really don’t know how I can pull this off.
56$ reduced to 28$
This is probably the item that I like the most but I would NEVER pay 56$ for it, the material is really cheap, cheaper than Forever 21. I do not understand their pricing…The problem with this item (that I did not see on the pictures) is the sleeves. They are SO long. I’m 5’6 and they are way too long for me. Also, they are really large on the hands and it looks weird and makes it difficult to roll. I will still wear it but not my favorite sweater.
Honestly, I am not trying to bash this company, their styles are really cute, I always check their new arrivals when I’m bored. But the quality compared to the price is really not reasonable. I cannot understand why people love this website. If you have any good experience with them (or a blog post) please leave it in the comments, I would love to change my mind on this company!
Later, Maria
